Tennis Tutor Ball Machine Review – So Like a Real Person, You Want To Give It A Name!

When you go to the courts for a practice session, it makes sense to have a partner that is a better player than you, to make sure that you work that much harder to get up to their level. Now maybe you do know a lot of people that are better players than you, but the problem comes in when they are not always available to partner you in your practice sessions. If you had a Tennis Tutor Ball Machine, and if it were possible to close your eyes while practicing, you would swear that you were playing against one of those good, real live, players that you know. In this Tennis Tutor Ball Machine review, you will learn just how much this machine can help improve your game.
The Tennis Tutor is available in three versions, namely Standard, Plus, and Plus Player, with each one offering extra features for a higher price. The Standard has a price of around $1000, the Plus $1250, and the Plus Player, $1650. It is recommended that you take the plunge and go straight for the Player Plus because, with the extra features it has, your money is definitely well worth spent.
First of all, you get a strong battery with the Plus Player, and you get the option to order it with AC power if you prefer. This battery is heavy duty, and will give you at least 4 to 6 hours of playing time, but if you want even more playing time, there is an option for you to upgrade to an external battery pack as well. The indicator light on the Tennis Tutor will show you exactly how much charge time you have, and you will be able to keep on playing even when there is only half an hour left on the charge. Normally, it takes roughly 12 hours to get the battery fully charged again.
All versions of the Tennis Tutor hold 150 balls, which is more than enough to give you a good practice run before you have to pick them up again to reload.
Random and horizontal oscillation is a feature that you get with all versions of the machine, but it is only the Player Plus model that has the random vertical oscillation which fires long and short balls. If you are a tennis coach, then you will love the 2-line feature that is offered with the Standard model. With this feature, if you are having a group lesson, then you can have your students form two lines, and get them to practice their shots at the same time.
The Tennis Tutor Plus also has an elevation control, which is great for practicing overhead shots as well as those net skimmers that are normally so hard to play. There are ten different elevation settings to choose from, but the Tennis Tutor Plus is the only machine available that allows you to adjust the setting on the control panel, whereas, with the other machines that are on the market, you have to do this manually, using some sort of leverage.
The speed range at which the Tennis Tutor fires balls is between 10 to 85 mph/16 to 137 kph. All models have this feature, which is a decent range, and gives variety for players of all ability levels. The speed rate can be set as well, to fire a ball every 1.5 seconds, which is great for practicing those rapid fire volleys that come at you at the net, to a ball every ten seconds, which is perfect for beginners who need a little time in between shots.
With the Tennis Tutor Plus, you get all the great features of the other two versions, as well as ball spin. While most other machines only offer top spin, with the Tennis Tutor Plus, you get this one, as well as under spin, which means that you can practice those really tough topspin forehands, as well as the slicing backhands and touch shots, that come flying toward you when playing against a really strong opponent.
